Military's report of planes flying in area of UFO reports is fueling debate

The U.S. military has owned up to having F-16 fighters in the air near Stephenville on the night that several residents reported unusual lights in the sky. But the correction issued Wednesday doesn't exactly turn UFOs into Identified Flying Objects.

Unknown Object Sighted over Stephenville, Texas

A large silent object has been causing local residents in one Texas town to keep their eyes to the skies with several dozen people including one pilot reporting the bizarre object float over Stephenville, Texas. A Close Encounter In The Woods

Just before 0630 near the village of Ambra a hunter observed, from a distance, the landing of a strange object in the woods.

At 0630, a 40-year-old farm woman, Rose Lotti Dainelli, set out for the church in the nearby village of Cennina. She carried flowers to place at the base of a statue of the Madonna Pellegrine. New Year's Eve lights: UFOs or too much revelry?

It was New Year's Eve, after all, and people may be in altered states where they see lots of strange things.

But three groups of San Diegans swear they were sober enough to report seeing strange orange-yellow lights in the sky about 30 minutes after midnight. And the National UFO Reporting Center said Tuesday it got enough "similar reports from across the country" to warrant a follow-up investigation.

Ryan Keegan and his wife, Rachael, were leaving a friend's party at their apartment complex in Bay Park about 12:30 a.m. when they saw the unidentified objects. They went in and got their friends and took pictures with a cell-phone camera.

"We saw four orange lights in a square and right behind there were three orange lights in a triangle," said Keegan, who is in the home-financing business and whose wife is a kindergarten teacher. Active glacier found' on Mars

A probable active glacier has been identified for the first time on Mars.

The icy feature has been spotted in images from the European Space Agency's (Esa) Mars Express spacecraft.

In 1976 I was about to go thru an (about to turn) green light when I saw a brilliant white light low in the sky ...as I pulled my car over to get a good look..a speeding dump truck ran the red light....!
If I had not seen that light in the sky I would now be NOT.
