Hi Everybody,

I am new to the board but have been listening for years. Finally got off my butt and set up a user name.

I love to listen to ghostly talk(Duh), and I was recently very pleased to be indirectly mentioned on the show. I met Doug & Scott L. at the mid-south con in Louisville, Ky. I was the guy that Doug talked about on the Sept. 30th episode that dresses and fights in medieval armor. It came up in our conversation because I have fought several times on the lawn of the supposedly haunted Willard Library in Evansville, In.

I met Scott a few weeks back on a zombie shoot, which is to say making a zombie movie as opposed to hunting zombies. There's alot to go over here, I'll probably be picking at it for quite some time as time permits.

I have been a witness to various forms paranormial activity throughout my entire life and it was up to a few years ago that i accepted these as normal events, coincidences, or anomolies with scientific explainations. But after having an experience with a spectre of some form in Kyoto,Japan I was convinced otherwise. I was visiting a Shinto shrine on vacation with several of my friends when suddenly I collapsed, One of my friends woke me up several hours later and told me I've been sleeping soundly for 5 hours, but the person who was our host there (I don't know him but my friend does) told me otherwise. He said i was mubling in Japanese as i slept (which is akquard since i barely spoke japanese). He told me what i might've been pocessed or that this was an ill-omen. I blew it off until i couldn't sleep the next night. I was staring at the ceiling when I heard a low laugh and then I heard a voice it apparently was thanking me for freeing him from Yomi (the underworld) when I got up and whispered whos there to the wind he laughed again and told me his name was Gozu (which later I found out translates into "cows-head")I didn't quite understand and layed down an put a pillow over my head, but his taunting was relentless. I asked him what I could do to make him shut-up, and he replied that he was hungry. So i went to prepare Ramen and he said his spirit had dwindled and became malnourished in Yomi. I again asked him what i could do to make him shut-up, he told me to go outside and do a ritual (was kinda like a Tai-Chi martial arts thing) and then he said he was refreshed and so i went back in and went to sleep. I awoke later to notice my hands were covered in blood, i waas confused and ran to wash them off but it wouldn't go away. I acted like nothing was on my hands and everyone believed me (as if they didn't see anything wrong with my hands) Gozu then said that i had killed several weak spirits that were roaming around aimlessly an absorbed there life-force (like an energy-vampire I guess) But to make things simpler lets just say I'm now a very experienced ghost-hunter and paranormal detective. Yes Gozu is still with me but I've learned to repress him unless of an emergency. Kiyoraka kawa is the name of my Shirasaya blade (it's a just a normal high-quality sword but Gozu says objects can take the properties of which their adressed), It means Cleansing River and apparently can sanctify areas, exorcise areas, make ethereal things material, and calm and soothes wraithes and foul spirits. (I don't know the extent of the the sword's abilities or whether it is mearley an extension of me but what I've listed has happened on actual occasions)
Please feel free to ask me anything I may (or may not) have knowledge about. Gozu may be a spirit of Japanese origin but he has been to hell and back again. (and I have a quite large amount of experience as well)

hi there ghostly talk friends

By witchywoman29 at May 18, 2007 - 1:51pm | Introductions

Hi everyone, wow i dont know where i have been! All these years and ive been in the dark! (no pun intended..ghosthunting!) This sight is really interesting and just really cool. It seems like people that are interested in the paranormal and all things strange are some of the most facinating people to me, even those that are just open minded skeptics, which i try to be that i guess but i know i have had personal expieriences that i cant explain and i am wanting to share my interest with others of like mind and get others input and read and learn about things that i dont understand, thats what i get from ghostly talk.. i love listening to the gang and the guest are informative and so full of knowledge that i cant help but go back and listen to every archive to see what ive missed and to really get to know the personalitys of those im listening to.. basically i live in warren Michigan, im a 30 year old mom with 3 little ones, i independently do my own thing(as far as ghost searching, researching) and my oldest son loves and shares my interest and theres talk of getting more involved as he gets older, aka. confrences and groups..i cant wait to have the time for that, ive always loved the study of the paranormal, the questions and the seeking of truth. One day though! I am looking forward to responding to forums and people giving me input just the same..great to be here at ghostly talk and with all of you!

Greetings from east Texas!!!

By EEKlectic at April 4, 2007 - 2:16pm | Introductions

I am with the Paranormal Society of Tyler, aka PST. We are located about two hours east of Dallas.

A couple of us attended the Conference in Eureka Springs, Arkansas and got around to meet the guest speakers and other paranormal enthusiasts from around the country. I spent too much money on souvenirs like autographed books, tshirts, and other stuff. But it was SO worth it! And of course, I bought a Ghostly Talk Radio tshirt!!!

If I can figure out how to post pictures on here, I will!

Cheers,

EEK

Howdy everyone. I'm Kurt Richardson the founder of The Indiana Paranormal Society (http://www.IndianaParanormal.us). We are a ghost hunting group based out of the South Bend, IN area. I actually meet Doug and Scott a couple of times now back when I was a member of the Indiana Ghost Trackers before we broke off to form our own group. I even had the good fortune of sitting next to Scott during an entire dinner one time and got to chat about anything and everything paranormal with him for a few hours. It's been awhile and I just thought I would stop in and say hi to everyone here. Keep up the good work and I love the show.

I have my own small group of people who go ghost hunting with me from time to time. we seem to get very good results, compaired to what I find posted on the net. I study endlessly about 10 hours a day, which is why I came across your pod cast. as I get to know you, I relate some of my tricks gained from those studies.. later Ed

By dneudecker at March 6, 2007 - 6:01pm | Introductions

Been a member for a week or two. I've listened to probably about half of the archives now. I listen all day at work and during the commute. :-) Anyhow, my wife and I went on our first ghost hunt this past Sunday night. We made the hour and half drive down to San Diego and visited The Whaley House and nearby El Campo Santo Cemetery. We've been to The Whaley House twice before but never whith recording equipment and this was our first visit to the cemetery. We had a blast! We actually captured a few bits of interesting evidence both photographic and EVP. I think we're hooked! LOL!
