Ghostly childhood friend

Just thinking of this gives me chills.

There is a family that lives in my building, whom I have developed quite a good friendship with over the past few years. They once told me that there was a girl in their family, Angie, that, at around age 5 or 6, had an imaginary best friend. She would talk of him all the time. She said his name was "Captain". Her and "Captain" were inseparable for about five years, when she lost interest in him. She said he finally went away.

A few years later, Oprah or Maury or some talk show, can't remember which one, had a young boy on who began to describe his imaginary friend. His name was "Captain", and every detail of him was identical to the friend she had years before. They calculated that the young boy became friends with "Captain" just after he left Angie. She lived in Canada, and the young boy lives somewhere in the USA.

Seems a little more than coincidence.

I did ask around to different members of the family, including Angie herself, who is in her 20's now. They all verified it.
