Mysterious symtom: Girl's head generates pieces of glass

TIKAPUR, Sept. 12: In a very unusual occurrence, a 12-year-old girl of Tikapur Municipality-9 generates pieces of glass from her head.

The victim, Sarita Bista has been suffering from a mysterious symptom of generating pieces of glass from her head for the last eight months.

More than one hundred pieces of glass have come out so far. The pieces are coming out from both right and left sides of her forehead. Such pieces are of 1.5 inch length and 0.5 inch width.

Bista, a student of grade 5 in Trinity English Boarding School Tikapur generated such pieces of glass from her left part of forehead on Sunday too.

The mother of the victim, Dhansara informed that such pieces were first seen last January.

She said that she had to believe it when she herself saw it although she did not believe when she was informed earlier by her daughter.

One of the teachers of her school, Chakra Prasad Adhikari said it was not revealed to others on her family's request though the teachers had known it four months ago.

Although she is in physically and mentally normal state, such pieces used to appear whenever she fainted but later on this also happened in normal conditions.

The wound quickly heals though there is slight bleeding when the pieces of glass come out. The family source said that no anti-biotic has been used to heal the wound.
