Unshackled!

I was excited today to find a web site and archives for Pacific Gardens Missions radio program Unshackled - The Radio Program That Makes You Stop & Think".

Altho it's christian and you all know my lousy attitudes concerning that whold topic, I always felt that this show was gentle and caring, allowing people's true life stories of struggle and rescue, over-coming seemingly insurmountable grief, sickness, addiction and personal chaos through the love of God and finding personal worth and hope.

Plus they're a bit cheesy, tip-toing around saying what they really mean, like the one I'm listening to know with the man who developed a porn and masturbation "addiction" when he was a teen. He soon feels that his "problem" is what made his parents break up.

As a child I found this program to be both educational and frightening. I didn't know that people got so out of control or ended up in such sad places in life (no, not talking about the masturbation one). As an adult it's fun, like Dragnet with a bible at the end instead of a jail cell.

OH NO... the chronic masturbater just got drunk for the first time! And he's with another BOY.... uh oh... this doesn't look good. Gotta go!
