Here's a Thought

Greetings Fellow Paranormal Enthusiasts!

Over the last month of listening to the show I was struck by an Idea that I simply must share.

First, though, I think it would be a good idea to give a little background on the information that spawned this idea.

We all remember that remarkable December 4, 2005 interview with our dear friend Markus Leader about his Interdimensional Magic Mirror Do-hickey with all the fancy symbols and equations etched in the back. Well, at the center of the mirror, at the back, it has a magnetic device that collapses a magnetic field. I don't recall if it was the positive poles or the negative poles, but I'm sure Marcus can fill us in. I would actually love to get ahold of your design specs and diagrams for this device, Marcus. They may help to confirm or refute my idea.

The thing that caught my attention was the use of this very magnetic field for the specific function of disturbing the "veil" between worlds.

The next piece of the puzzle was provided by the delightful boys of Ghost Hunters Inc. on January 8, 2006. A small detail, but powerful in it's implications nonetheless. They were discussing one of my favorite topics...EVP, when someone asked them what time of night they get their best EVP's. Their answer was "around 8 or 9pm".

Ok, so here we have two distinct bits of information, released more than a month apart, seemingly unrelated beyond the fact that they each invlove interaction with the beyond.

This is where my idea fits in. Let me explain. I was trying to figure out why the GHI guys get their best EVP's at 8 or 9, when I rememered marcus's collapsed magnetic field device. Then I remembered that the Earth has it's own magnetic field, which we are incidentally fully immersed in at this very moment. It is all around us, sitting there, affecting us in who knows what kind of ways. The point is, I remembered that the earth's magnetic field...get this...is distorted, much like the one in Marcus's device. On the sunny side of the earth, the forces of the sun push againts earths magnetic field and squish it toward the earths surface whereas on the dark side of earth the magnetic field is distorted an equal but opposite amount. It is essentially pulled and stretched away from the earths surface. We all occupy our own point on this sphere called earth, right. Some more-so than others, granted, but that just means there is more, or less to love, respectively. But as we occupy our point throughout the day we are essentially dragged through the earths magnetic field at a specific latitude. So in any given 24 hour period we all experience a full cycle of this contraction and expansion of the earths magnetic field.

Now without getting into the heavy mathmatics of rotating three-dimentional models and their space-time relationship with magnetic environments, I will explain the relevance of the 8 or 9 'o clock hours.

Get out a piece of paper and a pencil. Now draw a medium sized circle in the middle of the page. Label it 'earth', this represents the line of latitude that we physically occupy. Now draw a big circle on the left edge of the paper, and label it 'Sun'. At the point on the 'earth' closest to the 'sun' make a mark and label it '12pm'. This represents high noon on an average day. Make another mark on the complete opposite side from this noon point and label it '12am'. This obviously represents midnight. At the midpoints of the curves between these you can mark the bottom as '6pm' and the top as '6am'. Get the idea? The point we occupy on earth at any given time can be designated on the edge of this circle, and as the earth turns, dragging us along with it, our position moves around the edge.

This is where the time frame of 8pm - 9pm comes in. If we return to our diagram and find on the edge where the 8 o' clock pm and 9 o' clock pm positions are located we see that this is approximately the point in the day when the earths magnetic field crosses the equilibrium point and begins to stretch out into space, effectively opening up the layers of this field, much like Marcus's device is reported to do.

Ok, lets take a break for a moment and let this all sink in. Have a smoke, mainline some caffein, plug you head into the nearest outlet and recharge. Whatever it takes to normalize your mind. ;-)

Essentially the main idea that I am trying to get across is that maybe the reason 8 or 9 pm yields the best EVP results is because the natural environment is making it so. Providing that Marcus is correct, and his device works as advertised, this seems to be the best explaination I can come up with.

I may be way off base, but such is the risk of thinking theoretically. I would gladly hear any comments on this idea.
