The Hidden Gospel of Duped...and Duped again

Judas, the betrayer. That is how we've all been taught to percieve the man who sold Jesus out for a few pieces of change. Okay, maybe it was big money then, but you know what? Doug asked, "Who benefits from this?" And I doubt very much whether the church benefits so much as, dare I say it...the NEW WORLD ORDER.
No seriously.
Remember, the devil comes with signs and lying wonders. So why not have the ultimate enemy of the church become a saint in the eyes of the people in a kind of deception of the word of God???
But, of course, with me, there is always a flip side. Jesus KNEW he would be betrayed. So, is it not possible that he knew because he PLANNED it?
Jesus' dealings with the romans is nothing new. In the NAG HAMMADI it is said that the romans guarding the tomb where Jesus was taken after the crucifixion were paid, as per agreement, to look the other way when Jesus body was collected? How is this possible?
So, this could mean that Jesus had dealt with them before.
And, let us not forget about the centurion, aging and blind who stabbed him in the side to see if he was dead...why? Everyone else had their legs broken. Was this a ploy too?
I guess what I am trying to say is that we only know what the church tells us and those of us who choose to learn more can be faced with many odd angles and tricks to deceive the beleivers.
The Gospel of Mary Magdelene makes it clear that Jesus loved her above all the other disciples...and the church never mentions this.
And what about the 'beloved' who comes to the crucifixion with Mary, and Mary Magdelene??? For ages, noone knew who this was and then it was speculated that it was Jesus brother...or even Lazarus, but why does the text not say 'LAZARUS'? Maybe because it wasn't him...I add an alternative take...what if the 'beloved' was JUDAS all along?
He was betrayed by his 'beloved' why? Because he trusted him and only him to go through with his word.
I am not a biblical scholar (not yet), but it seems evident to me that this can only go two ways:

a) Judas was not the betrayer we have come to know and may have been Jesus favorite, or
b) this is just another seam in the scheme against God...by what ever wicked powers that be...

Personally, I feel that instead of accepting what the scholars have to say about the GOSPEL OF JUDAS...hoax or not, we all have to look for answers on our own...for we are decieved time and again...even by the very people we trust, like the church itself.

Judas

By JohnOfJordan on May 13, 2006 - 5:12am

I guess depending on your feelings about predestination, if Jesus did have to die in order for God's children to have 'eternal life' (and gospel suggests this is the case) then rather than merely someone who sold out Jesus, Judas was actually playing a very important role in a larger scheme of which he probably had little concept. And if it wasn't Judas who pre-empted this, then surely it would've just been somebody else? Or perhaps Jesus could've died for the sins of human beings, simply by reaching old age?
