By Aussie_Metal_Fan at January 23, 2006 - 11:09am | Ask Scott L.

Just wondering who your favorite bands are?

Mine would be Meshuggah, Sunn 0))), Dillinger Escape Plan, Ion Dissonance, Floor, Eyehategod, Pig Destroyer...just to name a few.

More

I also recommend Candlemass, though you should stick with their first four: Epicus Doomicus Metallicus, Nightfall, Ancient Dreams, and A Tale of Creation. I personally think they went downhill after these.

Power Metal, or as my wife calls them, Cheese Metal:

Rhapsody
Blind Guardian
Sabaton
Hammerfall
Angels & Demons

Metal:
Boltthrower
Six Feet Under
Soulfly
Crossbreed (more industrial than metal)
Testament

Cool

By Aussie_Metal_Fan on January 24, 2006 - 7:22am

Those are both cool lists of bands. I like alot of the bands mentioned, but then..Iron Maiden, GWAR, Anthrax..i'm not really a fan of. But anyways! Entombed kick ass, as do Napalm Death and Obituary. Deicide and Slayer too. \m/ As for the underground metal scene, i'm not sure if they're that 'underground' but i also like Circle of Dead Children, Infested, Cock and Ball Torture..etc..there's so many bands i like, just like everybody really.

Scott, you might like a band called 'Candlemass' if you haven't already heard them. And also a band called 'Biomechanical' from England.
