For anyone who saw DIGGING FOR THE TRUTH this passed monday and did not flinch...I will pray for you. Really!
What the hell-in-high-heels did they expect to find in the DNA of QUEEN AREGUND? She isn't even a blood relative~!~
That's like DOUG being a Merovingian, and let's say he and I shack up and then a trillion years later, they find my soddy bones and think they can get HIS genetic link from ME!
It's like there are a bunch of Monkeys loose on the History Channel thinktank. Do they really think people are so stupid as to except bad science in favor of a possibility, however scant, that the MEROVINGIANS Kings COULD in fact be the BLOODLINE of CHRIST?
C'mon...throw me a frickin' bone here...divine blood or not. You ain't gonna find out much about the chicken by dissecting the squid.

Really people!

Sad but true

The sad simple truth of it is that the masses DO accept the "conclusions" this sort of "investigative TV" dishes out. The most folks know about this subject is what they saw in a 30 second BlipVert on Entertainment Tonight.
To make the topic both understandable AND (most importantly) marketable to the general public you have to take a corporate jackhammer and smash the information into small, shiny, easy to digest nuggets of pseudo-science.
People like those you find here and in other paranormal interest groups are a small (but growing) demographic and therefore have little to offer to the network financially so these programs are not aimed at us.
Sometimes it makes me want to weep for the future.

I agree. I remember when DOUG and SCOTT L. Interviewed the British Author who said the producers of a show told him to dumb it down and then dumb it down again. That says it all!
