An extremely chaotic new year, part 2...

About the group scene in Houston...

A friend of mine (Randy) from the Haunted Houston group was recently given control of The Houston Society for Paranormal Exploration ,try saying that really fast! Randy, then appointed myself and Jules as asst. organizers. As one of my more important acts as asst organizer, I created a proboard message forum for the group The new HSPE message forum
after I exchanged email from the organizer of The Springfield Paranormal Research Group
and saw their message forum.
The other organizers like it, but its still kind of sparse since its so new. I seeded it up with a bunch of posts to get it kickstarted and its open to anyone who wants to post on it.

Meanwhile, I'm keeping tabs on the other meetup groups in my area, and its not pretty. I've never seen such mudslinging! The likes of which make presidential campaigns look like romper room!
One group, which I never really got involved with, has started a smear campaign against another group, which I actually like because some of their members were kicked out of the group for posting trash on the message board (of the group I like). And now I've noticed that some of those members that were kicked out of that group are starting to become active on my groups boards. I guess as long as they dont start anything, I wont either. But the fact is the people have made a reputation for themselves that I dont really want my group associated with. I'm just gonna leave it alone for now and keep my fingers crossed. So I finally know now what Doug means by "group politics", I never knew it could come to this.
On a lighter note, the restructure of my formerly abandoned group is comeing along nicely. We've got some good locations to check out and we've made a pact to not reschedule any meetups (thats a big problem with groups around here, constantly resheduling).
We'll be meeting up at Wunsche Bros cafe this Friday in Old Town Spring. One of my personal favorite haunts, and also the place where Zorella and I got together (for ghost hunting you perverts!).
Also we'll be checking out a 100% out in the country cemetery that I've never been to at night before. So should be a good one.

I also got an inside tip that my investigative group (Lonestar Spirits) is planning another allnighter in San Antonio. No details to release yet, but it sounds like alot of fun and excitement! I'll be sure to report on that afterwards. By the way, its been a while since I've phoned in, maybe I should soon!
