Meet The People Of Ghostly Talk

Doug has been interested in paranormal topics ever since checking out a book about witchcraft from his elementary school library. His favorite paranormal topics include out of body experiences, Edgar Cayce, ESP, prophesy, and ghosts. While surfing the internet in 2001, he was happy to learn that other folks actually went prowling about cemeteries and haunted places looking for evidence of ghosts. Since then, he has been an avid ghost hunter. Doug had done terrestrial radio before at WTWR, the station at the University of Detroit. He received his Bachelor's degree in Management Sciences and Information Systems from the University of Detroit. Upon meeting Scott L on ghost hunts, Doug suggested doing an internet talk show about ghost hunting, and that idea became Ghostly Talk.

Doug adds, "I now enjoy broadcasting almost as much as ghost hunting. The show and I have grown in ways I could never have imagined!"

A couple years later, Doug's avid interest in independent endeavors became evident again when the show began airing only independent music for the breaks during the show.

"The show is an independent show, and it was only fitting to air only independent music," says Doug.

Doug continues to ghost hunt whenever possible and co-hosts Ghostly Talk weekly from Warren, Michigan.

The stout, long haired Scott L. became interested in the paranormal as a young child when he bought his first book 'Haunted Houses' by Larry Kettelkamp at a garage sale for $.25. Intrigued and frightened by this book, Scott L. developed an adolescent interest in the paranormal that rooted itself firmly into the little boys mind through the present day:

Scott L. adds, "With college going on and also playing music, I didn't have time to really pursue the paranormal field as extensively as I wanted to."

It was when Scott L graduated from college that he now had the time to pursue his passion. Instantly drawn to the study of ghost hunting, Scott L. began networking with other people in the field locally. A short time later he crossed paths with co-host Doug in a local ghost hunting group they both had a part in forming.

How did he get into broadcasting though?

"Honestly, I have wanted to explore broadcasting for a very long time. I had some downtime from playing music in the late 90's, and it was a something that went through my mind a lot. When I met Doug after doing a lot of ghost hunting and talking about the paranormal, he asked if I wanted to try to do an internet talk show on the subject(s). I jumped at the opportunity."

Sadly, after 7 years on the air, Ghostly Talk aired its last live Broadcast on October 18th of 2009. Even though Ghostly Talk is off the air now, Scott L. remains a familiar voice and presence in the field of the paranormal promoting a grassroots study, involvement, and approach.

Raised in a religious family, Bonnie was always taught that ghosts don't exist. She accepted that for the truth until she had an unexplainable experience in her teens. That piqued her interest and opened her mind to all things unusual and unexplained.

In her 20's she found people online with similar interests. She joined many paranormal groups which further fueled her interest. The stories led her to want to go out and experience more. Several years later she joined her first ghost hunting group. That's when she met Doug and Scott L. They all clicked as investigators and friends.

"I took an interest in the show and was always around helping out in any way I could. When they realized they couldn't get rid of me, they gave up and put me in front of a microphone."
