What are you listening to?

By Jeremy at February 8, 2010 - 1:32am | General

While we wait for two of our favorite podcasters to come back from hiatus, what are others listening to to try to fill the void? I need some good suggestions.

Thanks.

I almost completely forgot

By Jetts on March 11, 2010 - 12:05pm

I almost completely forgot about Ghostly Talk, and decided to check the board. While I used to listen to GT religiously, I must say that I don't particularly miss it much anymore. I guess this reaffirms my thoughts on keeping yourself in the minds of your audience perpetually so as not to lose valuable "market share". With that said, I would still check out GT if they return, and was a listener for so long (since 2002) because of the "chummy" relationship we develop with the likable hosts Scott L and Doug. This is to their credit.

Currently, I am completely taken by the show over at Strange Frequencies Radio. They have the irreverent streak that Ghostman & Demon Hunter try hard to portray, but also deal with their guests in a very critical but respectful way. They are not yes-men. I really appreciate this honesty. They sure get up to some goofy stuff, such as playing their farts live on air, but I really can't remember having such a fit of laughter out loud while listening to a podcast before, let alone in real life. Conversely, Ghostman & Demon Hunter never really are as funny. Getting sick of the recycled inside jokes such as Gowin's "sex-kitten" status, but the Chubberama references were quite amusing for a while. I still listen to them from time to time, usually when I've caught up on the podcast archives I listen to regularly.

All the best to Scott and Doug. Hope you're enjoying your time off, and will check in again to see if you've decided to go ahead with some more episodes of GT.

Cheers.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Hopefully the guys have something in the works and we'll see them back soon.

I caught Scott L on Ghost Divas.

Paranormal Show

I like the Kevin Smith Show and Binnall of America, they are mainly UFO related but cover the full range of the paranormal. Wish Ghostly Talk were back though.

Mysterious Universe fills some of the hole, it's a great podcast but I can't wait for Ghostly Talk to get back...

Didn't you hear what Doug

By Ghostly Designs on February 10, 2010 - 7:18am

Didn't you hear what Doug was saying - explore the other podcasts, he even gave suggestions at times. But that's not what you were asking. I listen to Ghostman and Demon hunter (currently on Feb. break), Ghost Divas, Ecto Radio, and a few others. A lot of shows are on break right now. I also listen to the archives some.
