Tell GT what they mean to you

By paulafrog at November 2, 2009 - 7:31pm | General

The sad but understandable news that GT II is now over has come as a surprise.

I've listen to the shows for about 6 years now and have have helped out when I can to support the show. I wonder if there is fans like me out there. I've never been on a Ghost hunt or even wanted to. The paranormal is just CREEPY. But I have been so interested in it. When I finally found a show that was funny and light-hearted I was so happy. Now I can indulge and learn with out being freaked out.

I have laughed out loud while at work listening to the show. What I remember is Scott L's bum "watching' and his bazaar funny real life stories. Doug's mistaken identity story as "Carl" and his and Bonnie"s hill roll story. The everyday commonality stories are priceless. A jewel of the show was the way you chat with the guests real down to earth and the guests like Gregory or Wonders you can't get that kind of interview anywhere else. People try to be so held back on there questions and personality it seems.

For now the ratio of places to go to get real ghost info is way tilted in the wrong direction with GT on hiatus.

I hope you guys come back even stronger in the new year? So everyone please add your thoughts on what GT means to you to on this post.

paulafrog, you read my mind!

I haven't been listening as long as you have, but since sometime in 2006. I was so happy also when I stumbled onto internet radio! I listened to a couple of shows briefly before I found GT on Planet Paranormal. They just didnt keep my attention very long. I don't even know what it was about Scott, Doug and Bonnie that made me keep coming back for more. When I started listening, they were taking more road trips than they have recently, and I guess my absolutely favorite part is listening to their stories about their latest trip. Very funny stuff!

Like paulafrog, I have a very keen interest in the paranormal, but I do not think I have the guts to actually go on an investigation. I just moved into a much older, much bigger house, and it may just be the size or the age of the place, but sometimes I get creeped out. Nothing at all paranormal has happened (while I am home or awake anyway), but when I get that creepy feeling, I say out loud that I am fine with any invisible residents, but I would prefer it if they did NOT give me any signs that they are there. How wimpy is that?

But Doug Scott and Bonnie, you guys definitely put my fears at ease better than Ghost Hunters, or any other of the dramatized version of what you do. I've been listening to a lot of archives, and you guys have stayed pretty consistant throughout the years with your point of views. It is obvious that you are very passionate about the subject. My opinion from starting out watching tv, and seeking more info through the internet radio shows is that I think the documentary type tv shows do it best. Why does it have to be "reality tv"? Why can't it just be like a news show? Like E! or Entertainment Tonight report on Hollywood news for anyone who is interested in it, why not do the same thing for the paranormal?

Anyway, GT I thank you again for all that you do, hope to hear you soon!!

SCott-doug-bonnie....

By dedfiend on November 3, 2009 - 5:24am

what does ghostlytalk.com mean to me?
hmmm

the positives:
great people ive had the pleasure of infuriating
all the memories of our pillagings (is it correct grammar to plural-ize pillage?? ehh who cares, its just fun to say "pillage")
all the fun stories on air
all the restraining orders ive broken while stalking scott
i mean...while visiting scott doug and bonnie while they do the show, and no that was not my arse that has been seen shaking in the window!
..just some1 that bared an odd resemblance to me...

the negatives:
well...when im involved everything turns negative ( insert rim shot here)
I've forgotten my GT password so many times ive turned the counter into a mcdonalds "over 14 billion pw changes have been served to keith" sign

well....thoughs are my thoughts not yours...
and i look forward to many more tales of debauchery with you guys!
