Editing video footage

By Whiplash at September 16, 2009 - 6:27pm | Ghost Hunting Tips & Tricks

Hi all,

I have captured an entity on video but it is EXTREMELY difficult to see because it is dark against a dark background. Does anyone know of a way that I can edit the video to help make out the being better? If you look VERY hard you can see that it is slightly darker than the night time horizon and can see a head, shoulders, arms, legs, etc. but it is just tough to see. There are two street lights in the distance and the figure blocks one of the lights out with it's leg a few times.

Thanks a bunch!

Hey Whiplash,

Try fooling with the contrast and the white balance. It might wash out the video, but you should be able to see things more clearly.

I did get the image a little

I did get the image a little easier to see by boosting contrast and the gamma...maybe that is the same as white balance? Anyway, at least you don't have to squint and strain to see the thing now!! Thank you very much Nuekerk :-D
