Still a Dr.Who Fan?

By paranocturnal_r... at February 10, 2006 - 11:09pm | Ask Doug

I just finished listening to last Wednesday's show and caught the bit about being a Dr.Who fan..are you still a fan or is that a thing of the past? Who was your favorite Dr. incarnate? Just thought I'd ask as I myself am a long time fan of the series. Though, I'm still trying to get use to the new series..

Who is Dr. Who? I hate knowing I missed out on something else while growing up. *sighs*

Care for a jelly baby?

By Max Szabo on February 12, 2006 - 12:22am

I used to watch Dr Who ages ago, but haven't kept up with anything after Tom Baker left the series.

A good show for scaring kids back in the 60's and 70's, though.

Why in the hell they didn't just hire Jeff Goldblum to play a Transatlantic Dr Who in a $50,000,000 Spielberg epic back in about 1995 still puzzles me, however.

Perhaps no-one thought of that until now, but still...

The upcoming 10th Doctor

By Nathan on May 17, 2006 - 10:11pm

Tom Baker was the 4th doctor. There were 8 all together. Now Sci Fi has brought back the BBC show with number 9 Christopher Eccleston as the Doctor. I like him alot, but I've heared the news that David Tennant is cameing as the 10th Doctor. We will see it next season. They were saying that Anthony Stewart Head, Giles from Buffy, was going to get the role, but he didn't.

Jon Pertwee

By Doug on May 18, 2006 - 3:31am

My fav Doctor was Jon Pertwee, despite his being mostly earthbound and attached to the UNIT ("if it moves, shoot it--if shooting it doesn't work, shoot it some more") military buffoons.

My least fav was Colin Baker. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Bessie and the sonic screwdriver!

By paranocturnal_r... on May 20, 2006 - 1:13am

Yes Doug..you and me both on Jon Pertwee. Though I do like Tom Baker, it was Pertwee that has been my fav. Like you mention for his Earthbound situations to his ties with U.N.I.T. What was your favortie episode with him? One of mine was THE CLAWS OF AXOS!

As for Colin Baker..well, you pretty much cover that as well! ;)
