Note: Except for the author, and the demonologists/paranormal researchers and their website/organization names, all names in the following story are aliases, with the victim being referred to simply as “victim” in the chronological event log. Doing so permits this document to be widely circulated without compromising the personal privacy of the persons appearing here. It is very important to read the postscripts to this story, since many things have changed since this was first written in December 2006.

To introduce myself, I am a 54 year old, graduate educated professional. I am retired from a first career, and in my second career I teach as a fulltime college faculty member. I would like to say first that like most people, I have never been a believer in the paranormal. For me, the supernatural has been nothing more than movie and book fodder. Yet, I am hard pressed to explain the occurrences that I am about to relate. I have difficulty using the word “demon” or “incubus”, preferring instead the term “entity”.

This story involves my 60-something sister “Janice”, who is retired, has been divorced for decades, and who lives alone in an old refurbished farmhouse in rural Tennessee. Janice bought the farm about 14 years ago, and used most of her savings making the place livable. Our mother lived there too, until dying 11 years ago. My family is very close, and we have always stayed in close contact.

In the early spring of 2006, Janice began remarking that when she lay down to sleep at night, or even to nap during the day, something feeling like a cat would "walk on the bed". Janice has always been deeply religious, as well as a believer in some aspects of the supernatural, and thought that the presence might be that of our mother, grandmother or other long lost family member. She responded to the presence by talking to it regularly.

At first, I didn't think much of it, until Janice kept talking about the phenomenon. So, for curiosity’s sake my wife and I took the motor home to my sister's for a weekend stay. My wife agreed to sleep in the bed with Janice, while I recorded the session using a tripod-mounted Sony Handy Cam set in Night Shot mode. I stayed in the motor home.

Afterwards, the videotape showed nothing unusual, but my wife felt movements on the bed too, and at the same time as Janice felt those movements. The video/audio tape shows the two women talking about when and where the bed movement is occurring. For me anyway, that settled any issues I may have had over Janice’s mental health since it is impossible for two people to experience identical and simultaneous hallucinations. My wife and I have always had cats and dogs that lived in the house and which walked on the bed, and my wife described the sensation as being exactly like a large cat walking on the mattress while rubbing against her leg.

I tried more videotaping, but never caught anything out of the ordinary other than that which I have described. My goal was to first convince myself that something unexplainable was occurring, and secondarily to obtain evidence that might convince others too so that the entire family wouldn’t be considered to be off the rocker. On Count #1 I succeeded; on Count #2 I generally failed. I never intended to investigate or remedy my sister’s problems, since I have no training, knowledge or experience in such matters.

One day Janice went into the affected bedroom and detected an odor of urine so foul and intense that she had to open the windows. From time to time, she would also hear the mewing of kittens that seem to emanate from the area of the front porch. She searched around for cats, but has never found one on the property in the 14 or so years she has lived there. The only animals she owns are an ancient, virtually blind and deaf Chihuahua, an older yellow Labrador, and a caged parrot.

Meanwhile, things went from bad to worse as the months went by. In September 2006, something invisible began to sexually assault Janice. The attacks have happened many times to date, sometimes continuing for days and nights on end. In the beginning, Janice says that the attacks were accompanied by complete full body paralysis, which is particularly terrifying. Though fully awake, Janice says she was completely unable to move during those attacks, which lasted perhaps thirty minutes each. The sexual attacks also continue after she arises and leaves the bedroom, and can reoccur anytime she sits down anywhere in the house to include the toilet, and kitchen table. The attacks have also occurred while driving her car, shopping at Wal-Mart, and even in church!

All this makes for difficult conversation between a brother and sister, but Janice describes the attacks as both pleasurable, and multi-orgasmic. A common place for the attacks is in the Den easy chair while Janice is sewing or watching television, and one exact quote from her is “sex that is out of this world”. I would caution the reader against interpreting this to mean that Janice welcomes the attacks. Rather, she is simply trying to explain experience.

Janice’s daughter “Arlene” (my niece) lives about 150 miles away in the other end of the state, and understandably became very upset over the situation involving her mother. Arlene did some research on the issue, and ended up bringing a “demonologist” (Mike Roberge, www.drcri.com ) into the matter. Roberge told Arlene that the entity was a demon rather than the ghost of a family relative, and that Janice should neither talk to the entity, nor otherwise acknowledge its presence in any way. “Demonology” was an unknown word to me, and after a second’s reflection, I wish it still was.

After educating herself on the “demonology” subject, Arlene decided to help her mother via direct action. Arming herself with crucifixes, holy water and her boyfriend, Arlene drove to Janice’s home for a weekend stay where she planned to do what I can only humorously term as an outhouse exorcism.

After everyone settled down in bed at Janice’s the first night, physical attacks started up on Arlene, and before dawn everyone in the house wound up barricaded in the kitchen drinking coffee and trying to figure their next move. A decision was made then and there that my Janice would leave the farmhouse for a few days and go to Arlene’s home in East Tennessee. So, everyone packed up and left the farmhouse as soon as the sun came up. The boyfriend generally escaped the wrath of the entity save for some bathroom lights dimming in his presence, and strange noises behind him, none of which is conclusive proof of the supernatural.

Things at Arlene’s home were peaceable for only a couple of days, when Janice reported that non-sexual phenomenon began occurring and intensifying there. So, in less than a week, Janice returned home. Even worse, Arlene, who had introduced holy items into the situation, and who had also contacted the demonologist on her mother’s behalf, is now reporting that she is also being attacked in her home, to include being raped. Arlene doesn’t report actual memory of sexual attacks, but says that after rising in the morning she “can tell I’ve had sex”. I suppose one has to be a woman to understand that statement…I do not. Arlene also reports being poked and prodded, strange breezes falling on her, and her limbs being rearranged by some force when she is in bed.

Somewhere in the process, my strictly no-nonsense brother “Jack” volunteered along with the rest of us to do a stint at “sister sitting” at the farmhouse for a few nights to give Sister some peace of mind and a chance to rest. Jack is an educated and well-paid research and development chemist. As a scientist, he also not only doesn’t believe in ghosts, but also is quick to scoff at the very idea of such nonsense. Jack is rabidly critical of paranormal researchers who he dismisses as nothing more than gullible kooks, if not outright frauds. Sleeping on the Den couch for a few nights, Jack said he was jabbed in the ribs by something moving inside the sofa cushions. Later during his watch, in the daytime with Janice taking a shower and unable to hear his choice of words, Jack went alone into our sister’s bedroom where he cursed and challenged the entity to a showdown… just in case something was there. Knowing my brother, I expect that his challenge was profane and direct.

After returning home, Jack says he is now being physically and psychologically attacked while in his bed. While lying fully awake in bed, he has been punched, and on several occasions has found himself paralyzed and completely unable to move. During one attack a loud noise in the form of a radio blaring on the bedroom dresser woke him, but he found that he was completely paralyzed, and couldn’t make a move toward getting up and turning the thing down or off. After the paralysis eased, he noticed that the radio was never on to begin with. Jack is in his 50’s, and has never experienced anything in life that remotely resembles such things.

In another notable paralysis, Jack was home alone, and sleeping on the sofa in the basement recreation room of his multi-storied house. While on the sofa, brother was awakened by heavy footsteps overhead. The footsteps moved to the stairway leading to the basement, descended the stairs, and then walked to the sofa where Jack was lying supine. Suddenly, Jack felt the sofa cushion at his feet “go down” as if a weight not his own had settled there. Figuring it was now high time to get up, Jack made the effort only to find that he was completely paralyzed even though wide-awake. He says he had been resting on his back, with the back of his right arm lying across his forehead as he had slept, and his left arm on his abdomen. Now suddenly wide-awake, he struggled unsuccessfully to move, before realizing that he could just manage to move his left arm. Using his left arm, he was able to eventually grasp his right arm and pull it off his forehead. The paralysis then eased, and Jack was able to regain control of his body and get up…. to nothing. Nothing in the basement recreation room had been disturbed, and there was certainly no entity to be seen.

In a third instance, Jack was dreaming that he was “talking to some woman”. He woke from the dream and found himself paralyzed yet again. He can’t remember what the dream conversation with the mystery woman was about, but doesn’t indicate any sexual theme to either the dream or ensuing attack. He also has never admitted to being sexually attacked, but he isn’t the type to reveal such a thing anyway, and no one in the family wants to ask.

The attacks on Jack ceased for a while, but one day a couple of months later he was visiting at Janice’s when he again begin making remarks of what he would do to the demon if he could only get his hands on it. He never directly addressed the entity; he only talked about it to a third party. And sure enough, phenomena immediately began occurring at his house again. Jack is now a “galvanized believer” in the supernatural. Realizing that he cannot physically take care of the entity in this mortal life, he’s planning on doing so after his death. In his own words he says, “I won’t be just gone, I’ll be gone hunting.” Jack always mean what he says, so if the afterlife provides any opportunity to do so, he’ll be charging Hell with a water pistol wearing gasoline drawers to take care of some unfinished business. One has to know my brother.

So far, neither my wife nor I have been attacked, which is especially good considering the vulnerable condition of my wife…advance heart disease/cardiac surgery, and Multiple Sclerosis. But, neither of us has ever slept in the farmhouse…only in our motor home, which we almost always take when we go visit. Both Arlene and Jack, who have been attacked, have slept in the farmhouse. Yet, my wife’s 69-year-old aunt, who has gone with us to Janice’s home and slept several nights in a spare bedroom there, has never been attacked, and has experienced no phenomenon of any kind, either at my sister’s, or at her own home after returning. Yet, she did have a bad fall at my house on November 7th, 2006, which resulted in a steel rod being placed in her femur, followed by three full months of living in a rehabilitation center. Just coincidence?

Getting back to that demonologist that Arlene had located, Mike Roberge. He’s a well-known figure in the demonology community who runs a website about such things. Located in New England, his website encourages those suffering from demonic attacks to contact him as a measure of last resort:

“Where do you turn when everything else you've tried has failed? How can you be sure you know who to contact, someone who truly knows what you're going through, and someone who can lend legitimate assistance?”

Mike Roberge was very interested, and was regularly updated on the situation via intensive email/phone communications over a period of months, and who promised to come to Tennessee and perform some ritual at my sister’s home. All the video/audio tapes were bundled up and shipped to him so that he could review everything before arriving “sometime in November”. The demonologist was supposed to have brought two other people; an assistant, and someone in training.

About two weeks before he was scheduled to arrive, Mike Roberge bowed out, quoting reasons I won’t mention here. His cancellation upset the family greatly, which for months had placed all hope of salvation in his hands. A bit more research, this time on my part, located Episcopalian priest and demonologist Andrew Calder of Georgia Paranormal who is scheduled to arrive sometime in February 2007 to investigate and deal with the problem. Meanwhile, the attacks on Janice are intensifying both in frequency and intensity.

Over the long months, Janice has taken the following self-protection measures:

1. Having herself blessed by a Catholic priest. (She is Protestant, and deeply religious by the way).

2. Having a second priest come to her house and bless the dwelling, even the Chihuahua!

3. Visiting a third priest in a nearby town after having trouble scheduling an appointment…a fruitless effort since her story was met with only smiles.

4. Having a gallon of water blessed by the second priest, including a medallion of a particular saint said to be the “Terror of Demons”. (I’m not Catholic either, and can’t recall the name of the particular saint, but while the priest was blessing the house, the medallion, which had been placed on the table, was found on the floor some distance away).

5. Maintaining a large supply of crucifixes on hand, and placing some of them on the bed and over the interior/exterior doorways.

6. Training herself in the technique of imagining herself being surrounded by an aura of brilliant light before and during attacks.

7. Training herself in the technique of repeating religious verses before and during the attacks.

8. Using the video camera and a cassette recorder to video/audiotape herself while sleeping, both day and night. I have about 16-20 hours of videotape.

9. Going to church regularly, although she has been attacked inside the church during the service! She also believes the entity tries to keep her from going to worship, in that before leaving the house it will touch her abdomen to include tracing patterns, which is followed by indigestion, diarrhea and gas.

But…none of the above helped lessen the attacks. Janice found a Catholic priest, Father Kevin Dowling, who blessed the house, left a gallon of holy water and who promised to get the Bishop involved in case an exorcism was in order. Father Dowling never did that, and apparently has bowed out too since he has long since stopped returning calls. That makes Strike #2.

Meantime, the “cat walking on the bed” phenomenon is always present at Janice’s, both day and night. But, the paralysis associated with the early sexual attacks no longer occurs. Also, flash photographs have been taken inside the house, some of which show dark irregular masses in the center or edge of the photographs. I am a court recognized expert witness in several fields of criminalistics, a photographic evidence expert, and I teach Evidence Photography at the college. I did a detailed examination of the film negatives and believe at least one dark shape to have mass, since the shape disturbed the electronic flash pattern by creating its own shadow, and changing the shadow pattern of other objects exposed to the flash.

Post Scripts

Using my cell phone, I called Arlene to see how she was holding up. Upon answering, a male voice angrily yelled, "Get off my back, Motherfucker", after which came a loud, continuous, roaring, noise. The noise reminded me of a modern day gangbanger shoot-em-up movie playing in the background with volume turned up so loud that everything was distorted. Or, a phone held outside a moving car in a 70mph wind.

I at first thought I was listening to one of those joke voicemail messages, until I realized that Arlene, who has a young son, wouldn't have such a greeting on her phone. The pulsating, roaring noise was so loud that I could hear it with the phone held in front of my face. I watched the call timer go past 20 seconds, then closed the flip-phone, reopened it, and hit the redial button.

On the second call Arlene answered the phone. I asked her if it was the first time her phone had rang. She said "no", that she had answered the first time and heard me say "hello" several times, but that I apparently couldn't hear her. I told her what had just happened, to which she replied that she didn’t hear a thing on the line beyond my “hellos”. She also told me that she doesn't have voicemail, and was sitting in a quiet room without a TV on. Her boyfriend and son were in the den watching a movie on TV, so I had her check with them about the profane voice, and the roaring sound that followed.

The boyfriend and son said no such thing had happened on their end. The movie they were watching was The Librarian being aired on the TNT channel, which doesn't broadcast such language in any case.

I checked the call log on my cell phone to verify that I had dialed my niece's home phone number both times…. I had. The phone logged both calls as being initiated to the same number at 7:32 pm.

It was just another strange, unexplained phenomenon that also reminded me of a similar happening at Janice’s house that I had completely forgotten about until now. According to Arlene, she was at Janice’s house talking on the phone to her sister (another sister's daughter I haven't yet mentioned) who lives out-of-state. Suddenly, the "demon" came on the line and began making sinister sounds, causing both women to get off the line immediately. According to Janice, Arlene was "white as a sheet" after the encounter.

January 30, 2007
Father Andrew Calder of Georgia Paranormal has emailed and will be unable to come to my sister’s house this weekend and will need to reschedule. It’s a letdown for Janice who has begun to get desperate.

February 8th, 2007
Father Andrew Calder of Georgia Paranormal will not be coming to Janice’s at all for reasons I won’t mention. The news couldn’t have come at a worse time; the entity has been assaulting her non-stop for the past 72 hours, and the physical and mental toll is becoming more and more apparent. It’s also Strike #3.

The shattered hopes of the past months, and the fact that the entity can torment her even in a house of worship have been especially devastating for her. She is losing hope, and I cannot help but believe that her days are numbered if her life continues in its current state. Her physical and mental stress has been very apparent to those who know her.

February 9th, 2007
The non-stop sexual attacks on Janice still continue unabated, and now include simultaneous vaginal and anal penetrations. Yesterday, she heard a “buzzing sound” in the air inside her home, followed by some energy suddenly focusing and entering her body via an ear. The experience is difficult for her to articulate.

February 10th, 2007
I received a welcome phone call from internationally recognized demonologist John Zaffis this afternoon; in response to an email I had sent him yesterday. Mr. Zaffis is scheduled for some business in a nearby city in the near future, and has offered to at least talk to Janice about the problems she is having. He promises to call me back to schedule “in a couple days”. Great!

Just the thought of having John Zaffis coming is absolutely exciting, and Janice’s mood improved immediately upon hearing this. After talking to her later in the evening, it is obvious that she is still in an excited state of mind. Anything that gives her hope at this late stage has incalculable value. She also laughed today about something our mother did many years ago, and I realized then just how long it has been since I’ve heard her laugh.

I should also note that I have been talking with Mr. Scott Hattis of Parahaunt (www.miparahaunt.com ), who serves as the co-founder and director of that organization. I keep Mr. Hattis informed of all developments in Janice’s case, and Mr. Hattis has offered to bring his investigative team to Tennessee to try and help her. This remains a viable option. Mr. Hattis also mentioned the possibility that the entity afflicting her may well be behind the reasons for the no-shows of the previous demonologists; by creating situations that precludes their coming here. He related a similar case in which his entire team experienced highly improbable difficulties after agreeing to take the case.

It’s becoming a chore to maintain both this document, and the log. So, I’ll end this document here, and continue any new updates/occurrences at the bottom of the log, which follows.

Incubus Log

It was suggested by various sources that Janice keep a log of the phenomena occurring to her. It was decided that a 30-day log would be kept from December 6, 2006 to January 4, 2007. The log provides an idea of what goes on in her daily life. I personally wrote the log, by talking to my sister on the phone several times daily. After the initial 30-days, further log entries will be made only when there is something out of the ordinary to report.

LOG NOTES:
1. When the sexual attacks begin from the chair cushions while seated, the chairs suddenly feel “hard as a rock”…like sitting on a stone chair. It matters not if the seat is a kitchen chair, or an easy chair in the den.

2. The sexual attacks are more likely to come at times of rest…sitting or lying down. Busy work around the house reduces the frequency of the attacks, and can stop attacks that started while sitting down. For the latter reason, getting up and doing a chore usually prevents the attack from progressing… in time.

3. The sexual attacks are accompanied by a loss of energy…extreme fatigue. When walking, each “foot feels like a Breeko Block”. One attack occurred at Wal-Mart while shopping during daylight hours. The “problem” with Janice appears to be an individualized one, and has nothing to do with her house or any other location.

4. Janice takes prescription sleep medications regularly at night, causing rapid onset of sleep. Usually, the only sensation upon lying down for the night is the ever present “bed walking”… the sensation of a cat or other small animal walking on the mattress. Thanks to the medicine, Janice goes to sleep very quickly after lying down, and the normally the only thing she remembers the next day is the bed walking. Sometimes the “bed walking” is more complex, such as mattress humping in a sexual suggestive manner, or movements inside the mattress itself. Sometimes the disturbances seem to be caused by multiple entities; i.e., different type movements in separate parts of the mattress. Janice swears that there is more than one entity.

5. When the sexual attacks first started, these were accompanied by total body paralysis. For some reason, after four such instances, the paralysis no longer occurs. The last paralysis occurred sometime in September 2006.

6. Janice usually, but not always takes afternoon naps. These day naps take place in the same bed as night sleep.

7. Janice has a spare bedroom, but does not sleep there since (1) the bed in the Master Bedroom is more comfortable, and (2) the sexual attacks follow her to the spare bedroom anyway.

8. This log is created and maintained chronologically by me, based on three to four daily phone conversations between Janice and I. This log may be freely disseminated in its entirety in the interest of paranormal research. Even so, distribution of this log can be completely controlled by request of any investigator/clergy who is involved in this incident.

9. This log will be kept meticulously for 30 days, 12/6/07 thru 1/4/07 inclusive, in order to establish and record the pattern of paranormal occurrences. After those initial 30 days, only events that are out of the ordinary will be recorded.

10. Last….by necessity, this document is sometimes very profane and graphic. The log’s purpose is to record the actions of the entity, not to avoid offending anyone. Still, I avoid being intentionally vulgar.

10:15 am-----------Beginnings of sexual attack while sewing in the Den easy chair. Immediately got up, and went into kitchen to start breakfast. Attack ceased.
2:20 pm------------Laid down for afternoon nap. Bed walking was immediately apparent.

Friday 12/8/2006
1:15 am------------Went to bed for the night. “Out like a light”, but bed walking was occurring before victim fell asleep.
7:45 am------------Out of bed for the day.
8:20 am------------Beginnings of sexual attack while seating in kitchen chair drinking coffee. Got up and washed dishes.
1:30 pm------------Laid down for afternoon nap. Bed walking started within a minute or so, but was mild in intensity today.
4:00 pm -----------Got up from afternoon nap.
5:45 pm------------Beginnings of sexual attack while sewing and seated in Den easy chair. Got up and made sandwich, returned to easy chair, attack subsided sometime afterward while talking on phone with youngest daughter.
Midnight---------- Went to bed for the night…the usual walking on the bed occurring.

Saturday 12/9/2006
6:45 am----------- Out of bed for the day. No phenomenon occurring as of 10:00 am (youngest daughter is delivering twins today; lots of nervous energy).
3:00 pm------------Laid down for afternoon nap. Beginnings of sexual attack started in about 5 minutes, so got up. Phone ringing regularly with news of the twin grandbabies.
3:30 pm------------Tried lying down for afternoon nap again. Mild sexual attack started again but was so tired, fell asleep.
5:15 pm------------Got up from afternoon nap.
Midnight-----------Went to bed for the night. Bed walking was occurring before sleep.

Sunday 12/10/2006
7:20 am----------- Awakened by a sexual attack. Sensations of sex at still occurring 2 hours later at 9:20 am, but ceased shortly afterward. Been busy cleaning, feeding pets…anything that will take the mind off the attacks.
2:15 pm------------Laid down for afternoon nap. Today the entity was tickling the face, and “running feathers up the nose”. . Victim gave up trying to nap at 2:45 pm and just got out of bed.
10:25 pm---------- Beginnings of sexual attack while sewing in Den easy chair. Got up, which alleviates attack.

Monday 12/11/2006
12:30 am---------- Went to bed for the night. The usual mattress movement was occurring.
7:20 am---------- Out of bed for the day, after being awakened by a sexual attack in progress. Got up, made coffee, attack ceased at 8:05 am.
2:10 pm-----------Laid down for afternoon nap. Face was tickled, “feathers run up nose”, could not sleep.
3:10 pm-----------Got up from afternoon nap attempt.

Tuesday 12/12/2006
1:00 am----------- Went to bed for the night. The usual bed walking was in progress. No problems falling asleep.
7:40 am----------- Out of bed for the day.
NOTE:------------ Did not take a day nap today.
6:00 pm----------- Beginning of the evening. No phenomenon has occurred yet today.

2:00 am----------- Went to bed for the night. The usual bed walking is in progress.

3:00 pm----------- Laid down for afternoon nap…. phone kept ringing, so got up shortly. Bed walking was in progress shortly after lying down though.

Thursday 12/14/2006
12:30 am---------- Went to bed for the night….the usual bed walking occurring.
7:05 am----------- Woke up to sexual attack….and a first….something touching Janice’s breasts. The attack continued for about 15 more minutes after rising.
2:20 pm---------- Laid down for afternoon nap, very tired…asleep almost instantly.
4:15 pm----------- Up from nap, no phenomenon occurring.
9:45 pm----------- Laid down on top of the bedcovers waiting for 10pm news to come on (feeling sick…shaky, nausea), but fell sound asleep instead. Woke up 3:00am, upset because it was the witching hour. Turn lights and TV off, went back to bed, and woke up at 6:00 am. No phenomena during all these times.

Friday 12/15/2006
6:00 am---------- Woke up for the day, all is well concerning any phenomenon.
2:00 pm---------- Laid down for afternoon nap. Brother called at 3:15 pm, so just got up instead of trying to nap. No phenomena noticed during all this time.

Saturday 12/16/2006
1:00 am----------- Went to bed for the night. Bed walking occurring, but went on to sleep.
7:30 am----------- Woke up for the day, sexual attack in progress, and again the breasts were being touched.
6:00 pm----------- Beginnings of sexual attacks have been occurring “on and off all day”. These usually occur while sitting in either the kitchen, or the chair in the den.

12:15 am---------- Went to bed for the night. Bed walking in progress; went to sleep.
7:15 am----------- Woke up for the day to a sexual attack in progress, but first time in three days that the breasts were not being touched. Got up immediately and got busy doing things. Attack subsided sometime after getting up and
working around the house.
10:00 am --------- Janice’s middle brother who had been attacked by the entity after provoking it at the victim’s house earlier, came by to visit and to bring “some breakfast”. He mentioned that he had experienced complete physical paralysis at his house “four times” instead of the one instance previously thought. Middle brother still mentioned that he “would like to get” the incubus.
2:00 pm----------- Laid down for afternoon nap. Entity “tickled face”, “ran something up nose”, “ran feather across face”, created a sensation of “something crawling” around in the head. At about 2:45 pm, Janice got up tired, frustrated and in a rage, “cussing” the entity over the aggravation, using some especially provocative language. Janice admits knowing that such provocation is likely to give power to the entity, but replied that she “just can’t help it”. Janice didn’t want her outburst made part of this log, but finally negotiated that her exact words not being used.

Monday 12/18/2006
12:40 am---------- Went to bed for the night. Very tired, went to sleep immediately, does not remember any phenomenon occurring after she laid down.
8:00 am ----------- Woke up for the day. No phenomenon noted upon awakening.
8:40 am----------- Sitting at kitchen table drinking coffee. Suddenly, the chair cushion ‘began to get hard” as it does preceding a sexual attack. Janice immediately got up and did chores around the kitchen to stave off the attack.
9:00 am----------- Sat down to sew in Den easy chair. No phenomenon as of 12:20 pm, have been seated in the easy chair this entire time. Contemplating taking a day nap in a bit.
2:00 pm----------- Laid down for the afternoon nap….the usual bed walking in progress. Phone kept ringing, never really went to sleep, but no phenomenon noted other than the usual and expected bed walking.

Tuesday 12/19/2006
12:15 am---------- Went to bed for the night. “Out like a light”, but not before Janice noticed the usual bed walking taking place.
7:40 am----------- Woke up for the day. Got out of bed and left the bedroom immediately, which is the usual protocol upon awakening. No phenomenon noticed.
8:00 am----------- Sat down at the kitchen table to drink coffee. “Seat got hard”, and sexual attack commenced. Victim got up immediately, made breakfast, and returned the chair and table to eat; sex attack still occurring. Went to the Den to watch TV while seated in the easy chair…attack continued.
11:15am----------- All traces of the morning’s sexual attack gone by this time.
2:00 pm----------- Left house for Wal-Mart in adjacent country. Got “tired and shaky” while in Wal-Mart. No sexual attack in Wal-Mart as with last time, BUT when leaving the parking lot, the seat of SUV began to get hard, and a sexual attack started while Janice was driving. She continued to drive home since there was nothing else to do.
4:30 pm----------- Arrived back home. Sexual attack had ceased by this time. Janice also related that she’s noticed a sensation of her clothes “tightening up” during the sexual attacks. The sensation is like her clothes are shrinking.
5:00 pm----------- Sexual attack started up Janice was seated in a kitchen chair. Janice began crying while relating this, saying that she has no life left, and how bad it is not to have her family around her during the holidays. (The stress of the situation is becoming more apparent daily).
11:20 pm--------- Went to bed for the night. The usual bed walking is in progress.

Wednesday 12/20/2006
6:40 pm------------Woke up for the day. No phenomenon noted, but victim nearly always gets up immediately after awakening.
NOTE: ----------- Did not take the customary nap today.
2:00 pm----------- While standing at the kitchen island wrapping gifts, a sexual attack started.
3:15 pm----------- At post office mailing gifts. Sexual attack still in progress.
4:30 pm----------- Back home from post office/shopping. Sexual attack had stopped.
5:00pm------------ Janice’s middle brother called on the phone. Remember the other day when he brought breakfast by? And provoked the demon (again)? The brother is again experiencing paranormal phenomenon at his home, even though it has been a long time since he was bothered. Last night the brother’s mattress was moving with internal wavelike action, the same effect that Janice sometimes reports occurs in her bed.
11:30 pm---------- Went to the bed for the night. Bed walking occurring as always, but Janice went to sleep right away.

7:05 am----------- Woke up for the day. Out of bed before noticing any phenomenon. Getting straight up after awakening in the morning has become the custom.
7:50 am----------- Sexual attack began while seated at the kitchen table drinking coffee. Got up and did “busy work” to get mind off attack. The attack subsided sometime during mid-morning.
1:30 pm----------- Tried to lie down for afternoon nap, but entity “tickled the face”, and “ran stuff up nose” (feels like a feather). Janice got up in a rage after trying to sleep for half-hour, cursing the entity. She says that she understands that cursing the entity is both what it wants, and gives it recognition and strength, but that she “absolutely cannot help it”. She complains that she is getting run down from the lack of rest, since she has long depended on the afternoon naps.

Friday 12/22/2006
12:45 am---------- Went to bed for the night. Mattress moving in the usual fashion. (Janice takes prescription-sleeping medicine about one hour before laying down, so that she doesn’t have to lay awake for any appreciable amount of time before falling asleep).
7:20 am------------Woke up for the day, and up and moving as usual before any phenomenon can be noticed.
8:00 am----------- Sexual attack started while seated at the kitchen table. Got up and moved around. Attack diminished sometime later.
10:20 am---------- A second sexual attack started in the kitchen chair. Noticed the chair cushion becoming very hard, which signals an impending attack. Got up from chair and moved around to diminish the attack’s severity, which passed after a while.
2:00 pm----------- Laid down for the customary afternoon nap. Very tired, and felt a single “tickle” up the nose before falling sound asleep.
5:00 pm----------- Awoke from afternoon nap, surprised at how long and sound the sleep was. Dark outside. Two hours later, no sign of sexual attack or other phenomenon.

12:35 am---------- Went to bed for the night. Fell fast asleep quickly.
7: 50 am---------- Woke up for the day. To kitchen for coffee as is customary after waking.
8: 05 am---------- First sexual attack of the day while seated at the kitchen table drinking coffee. Got up from the chair as usual when an attack begins.
GENERAL NOTES FOR THIS DAY: Sexual attacks occurred on and off for the remainder of the day. Didn’t bother with an afternoon nap, and didn’t keep exact times of the numerous attacks occurring throughout the day. It is clear that Janice has been in an angry mood all day, which is understandable given her circumstances. She is especially upset that the entity has destroyed the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays for her, which traditionally have been a time for family get-togethers…something that is not happening this year. At 6:00 pm, there are no attacks in progress, and Janice is getting clothes ready for Sunday church services tomorrow.
6:00 pm until bedtime-----------Sexual attacks started, and continued all evening. Janice is filled with frustration and anger, and cursing the entity “back to hell”…. among other things. Victim states that the sexual attacks have now progressed to anal penetrations.
Midnight--------- Went to bed for the night. The evening’s attacks have diminished somewhat, and the prescription sleep medicine causes rapid onset of sleep.

Sunday 12/24/2006
7:00 am--------- Woke up for the day; out of bed immediately. Sexual attacks started soon afterward while seated in the kitchen chair. Janice is getting ready for church, and expects that the attacks will stop when she gets there.
10:15 am--------- Victim arrives at United Methodist Church, a small rural church with no more than 20 members attending the Christmas Eve service. The sexual attacks were in progress during the drive to the church. The attacks continued non-stop for the entire duration of the service, which was completely unexpected by Janice, and which greatly upset her.
11:00 am--------- Church services were over, but the sexual attacks were not, continuing on the drive home, and after arriving at home. Janice tearful, and related the story about a nativity scene on display at the church. The baby Jesus
fell to the floor and broke after being bumped against by a church member. Janice has the nagging question of whether or not her “bringing” the entity into the church had anything to do with the broken Jesus. She is very distraught today, and her mood fluctuates between anger, anxiety and depression. It’s the holidays; the victim is isolated from her family, and feels that the entity is completely controlling her life. She is also upset when she meets a fellow churchgoer today who used to live in the victim’s house as a child, and who wants to visit to see what all has been changed during remodeling.
1:45 pm----------- Left for town to shop. Entity is still sexually attacking, even while the car is being driven.
3:45 pm----------- Back home from shopping, all attacks have ceased by this time. Janice says again that she knows better than to provoke the entity, but that she “absolutely cannot help it.”
7:00 pm----------- All is well this late in the evening. The attacks have been especially pronounced in the past 24 hours.
11:15 pm--------- Went to bed for the night. Took a late phone call (daughter), and then went on to sleep.

Monday 12/25/2006
7:00 am----------- Out of bed for the day. Sexual attacks started in the kitchen soon afterward.
11:00 am--------- Sexual attacks still going on. It was once mentioned that using Vanilla scents would calm the person, and possibly even halt an attack…. if Janice could stand the scent of Vanilla. She says that Vanilla is her “favorite scent”, which she has used for many years, including these trying times. Unfortunately, it has no effect on slowing the activities of the entity. Another strategy recommended was to apply Holy Water to her genital area, which the victim has done and reported that this also has absolutely no effect. Janice has formed an opinion that the entity “is much stronger” than anyone suspects, and that “nothing phases it” (an old Southern colloquialism, meaning having no effect). The entity brushes past blessings by priests, holy water, crucifixes, prayers, and scents, and even assaults its victim with impunity in a house of worship. The latter fact is especially upsetting to her, who had the full expectation that she would find peace in church for a couple hours.
NOTES: ---------- Janice’s sense of humor is back today…. which is good. She even laughed at the suggestion of having a crucifix tattooed to her privates, and replied that she didn’t even “think a stopper plug would help”. (Odd conversation between brother and sister… in odd times). Janice did not take an afternoon nap today.
Evening hours:--- While watching TV/sewing in the Den, the easy chair cushion keep “moving”, but the expected sexual attacks never occurred. Janice kept getting up, which may have prevented the attacks.

Tuesday 12/26/2006
12:20 am---------- Went to bed for the night. The customary “mattress moving” was in progress as usual and expected, but Janice went on to sleep without any problems; thanks to the prescription sleep medicine that is taken religiously one-hour before bedtime.
7:15 am----------- Out of bed for the day. Always out of bed immediately upon awakening.
7:50 am----------- Sexual attack started in kitchen chair, so got up and did chores…did laundry, “Christmas stuff”, etc. Attacks ceased sometime afterward.
1:10pm----------- Janice is seated in the Den easy chair talking with brother on telephone, and giving the update information for this log. Nothing is occurring at this time. She is thinking about taking the customary afternoon nap after getting off the phone.
3:00pm------------ Laid down in bed for the afternoon nap, a little later than usual. Bed moving and face tickling occurring, as expected
4:30pm----------- Up from afternoon nap. Almost dark outside.
7:15 pm---------- Sitting in the Den easy chair sewing and watching TV…no attacks occurring. Janice relates that when she sits in the easy chair, she tends to sit on her left buttock, using the left armrest for left arm support. She says that this position alleviates both the frequency and intensity of any sexual attack that might be occurring. She also suspects that sitting flat in any chair might bring on an attack, and that sitting flat will increase any attack’s intensity. She also acknowledges again that she has a problem with not being able to resist verbally assaulting the entity. She relates one incident where she was being attacked, and she sat down in the kitchen chair as hard as she could, telling the entity that she “hoped I broke it”.
10:00 pm---------- Sitting in the Den easy chair sewing and watching TV. A sexual attack is in progress, which is countered by Janice leaning to the left onto the armrest and her left buttock, and continuing to sew. Sitting flat and square in the chair intensifies the attacks.

12:30 am--------- Went to bed for the night. The usual mattress disturbances are occurring before falling asleep.
6:40 am----------- Out of bed for the day.
7:10 am----------- First sexual attack of the day, while sitting at the kitchen table drinking coffee. Time to get busy doing chores.
9:45 am----------- Janice notices that the first sexual attack of the day has ended by this time.
10:00 am to 2:00 pm---------Sexual attacks are occurring “on and off” during this period of time. She becomes sick with nausea by the end of this time period, but there is nothing to suggest that the nausea is related to the entity.
2:00 pm---------- Laid down for the afternoon nap, especially needed because of the nausea.
5:00 pm---------- Up from afternoon nap. Noticed that the mattress is moving before getting up. The queasiness has eased considerably.

Thursday 12/28/2006
6:25 am----------- Out of bed for the day. As usual, Janice goes to the bathroom first, then to the kitchen for coffee, followed by breakfast, followed by more coffee. While seated at the kitchen table, the usual sexual attack began from the kitchen chair seat. Today, something new was added to the routine…fingers that “walked” across the her back. The sensation is like someone using his or her fingertips to walk or crawl the hand across the back. The walking began near the shoulder blade, proceeded to the spine, then returned to the starting point. This hand-walking phenomenon occurred simultaneously with the sexual attack, and repeated itself about 3 times before stopping altogether.
9:00 am----------- Janice will drive to town later today to take care of some personal chores.
12:30 pm--------- Driving by herself on the Interstate, going to town. It’s difficult for the her to articulate the following, but while driving she has the sensation that she is “sitting on a penis”. The erect penis isn’t vertical and penetrating, but is horizontal, meaning that it is flat on its side, with the tip facing forward.
1:15 pm---------- Janice arrives at her first stop. The “sitting on a penis” sensation is still present as she exits her vehicle.
3:30 pm----------- Arrives back home. The “sitting on a penis” sensation was gone after the first stop in town, and stayed gone during the entire trip back home.
5:30 pm---------- Seated in the Den easy chair. Phenomenon free at this time, but the seat cushion may be “starting to feel hard”, which is frequently the first sign of an impending sexual attack. Janice states that the attacks are “getting worse”, and hopes that she can “hold out” for another month when she hopes that clergy will arrive at her house. To boost her spirits, I reminded her that I would be coming down Sunday to attend church with her, and together we made plans to eat and shop afterwards.
5:45 pm----------- That “hard feeling” of the easy chair cushion proved to be a true warning of an impending sexual attack. Janice countered the attack by continuing to sew and watch television, and leaning to the left in the easy chair, placing her weight on her left buttock in the seat cushion, and on the left armrest with her left elbow.

5:05 am----------- Woke up to a phenomenon. Janice was lying on her right side in bed, with her left arm outside the cover. A “breath” was exhaling on her face and her arm, pausing to probably inhale, then exhaling the breath again. The breath was neither cold nor hot, but was striking her uncovered left arm, and her face. Unsettled, she got up, went into the kitchen and made coffee. Settling her nerves down over a cup, she returned to bed while it was still dark…. about 6:00 am.
8:00 am----------- Up for the day. No sexual attacks in the kitchen, which is unusual.
Noon-------------- Onset of a sexual attack while seated in the Den’s easy chair.
2:30 pm---------- Laid down for an afternoon nap. Never quite went to sleep, so got up after about 45 minutes. The bed was moving, while something was “tickling” the face and “running feathers” up the nose.

8:30 am---------- Sitting at the kitchen table, drinking coffee, contemplating what to wear to church, when a finger touched the abdomen, and began tracing patterns on the skin. Within minutes severe stomach cramping and gas set in. Janice still attended church, after reasoning that the entity was trying to discourage her from going.

Monday 1/22/07
1:00pm----------- Laid down for the customary afternoon nap, and a woman’s voice was heard from the ceiling saying two words. Never could make out what the two words were, but the voice emanated from different parts of the ceiling in a circular pattern. The words were repeated about a half-dozen times.

Thursday 1/25/07
7:00am----------- Awoke for the day, and while moving a leg, the knee brushed up against a solid, coarsely-haired surface. The sensation reminded Janice of “hog hair” in her own words. She rubbed against the hairy object repeatedly to be certain. The object was under the cover, but pulling the covers back showed nothing there.

Friday 1/26/07
11:45am----------- Went to bed for the night, when an unseen entity jumped onto the bed. Janice was laying on her right side, and the “something” lifted the cover at her back, and crawled under the cover. She perceived that the entity was quite small… perhaps no more than two-feet tall/long. After getting under the cover, the entity maintained contact with the her back, occasionally moving slightly. Then…a second entity jumped on the bed, and walked across the mattress to her pillow and laid/sat down behind her head. Like the first entity, the second occasionally moved slightly as well. Janice had taken her sleeping medicine, and silently prayed to God that she might fall asleep quickly…. she did, and knew nothing until the following morning.

Sunday 1/28/07
10:15 am---------- While attending Sunday services, the entity suddenly severely pinched Janice’s external private parts. The pain was so intense that the victim had trouble keeping her feet steady, and actually had to hold her legs down with her hands. The pinching sensation continued until she left church and went home, where it gradually subsided.

Wednesday 1/31/07
7:00 am----------- Janice awoke for the day with the sensation of a battery operated sexual vibrator being applied to her. Victim was having an orgasm, and it was the orgasm that awoke her. She immediately got out of bed, started the morning coffee, and went to the bathroom. While sitting on the commode the vibrator effect started anew, and the victim had a second orgasm.

Tuesday 2/6/07
7:00 am----------- Janice awoke for the day with the entity having vaginal intercourse with her. Since this day and time, the sex has been virtually non-stop day and night. Sometimes the intercourse is intense, sometimes it is very light. Sitting down make the act more intense. As of February 11th at 9:30pm, the attack is still occurring (5 days). Also, the sexual attacks often involve both vaginal and anal penetration simultaneously.

Friday 2/9/07
1:30 pm----------- Janice laid down for her afternoon nap. She could hear a buzzing sound in the ceiling, “like a bee, but much louder”. After a few seconds, the buzzing sound focused on her left ear. The sound grew louder, and the victim could feel something entering her left ear canal. After entry into the left ear, the buzzing stopped. There was no pain associated with this phenomenon.

Sunday 2/11/07
11:30 pm--------- Janice returned home from church, changed clothes, and sat down at the kitchen table to eat. While sitting there, she suddenly realized that she was having sex with an unseen partner in the “reverse cowgirl” position, and while being vaginally penetrated the sex “partner’s” right hand was digitally masturbating her. Even the back of the kitchen chair was undulating, and a pressure of a forearm was felt on top of her right thigh where the entity was bracing it’s right forearm so as to manipulate its right hand.

General Update For more than a week now, Janice has had a very bad tooth abscess. I haven’t seen her, but understand that even her lip is swollen. She’s on antibiotics and heavy doses of painkillers. She’s pretty much given up on John Zaffis, who three weeks ago said he’d call back in ” a couple of days” to schedule a visit. I don’t know what happened, but Mr. Zaffis hasn’t returned voice or email messages, and the victim has to move on. In all fairness to him, maybe he’s had an illness, accident or some other unknown problem that precludes him from even answering. In any case I have no doubt that the demand for his services exceed his capability to provide them.

Still, it’s depressing that three demonologists and one priest in a row have one-by-one all dropped off the radar. After a year of torment progressing from “something” walking on the bed to full-fledged sexual attacks, the victim has no problem with condemning them all, but her perspective is understandably different than mine. She’s very upset, and there is also a concern that the demon might take advantage of the illness and go for full-fledged possession.

On a brighter note, Janice gave Scott Hattis of ParaHaunt the go ahead. He’s a great guy to bring his team all the way from Michigan. And, no one had better ever question ParaHaunt’s courage in my presence! I look forward to having Scott come, and hope that things haven’t deteriorated to the point that he can’t help. From this point forward, Scott has the case unless a power equal to The Savior shows up and asks to help.

General Update Janice’s tooth abscess is much better. Still a bit tender when biting down, but the horrible pain has subsided. Two mornings ago, upon awakening, she realized that she was on her back in bed. She suffers from emphysema, and never sleeps on her back, something I can verify after watch 16-20 hours of her videotaped sleep. She was having trouble breathing because of her supine position, and noticed too that her head was not on the pillow. In fact, the pillow wasn’t even on the bed. She found it several feet away in the middle of the bedroom floor, in a straight line through the objects on the night table. Yet, nothing on the night table was disturbed. The entity was also having sex with her, and she felt a very heavy weight pressing down on her thighs.

Janice noted too that she has not experienced any full body paralysis while wide-awake in many months. While the sexual attacks have gotten progressively worse, the paralysis no longer occurs. She says she was paralyzed a total of four times, which incidentally is the exact number of times our entity provoking brother was paralyzed. She talked with brother the other day, and he indicates that he has not experienced any phenomena in a long time.

Also, Janice made a point to mention the steady weakening of her body. And she said that she doesn’t think she can survive much longer under the circumstances. She also restated her belief that the Colombian sister-in-law is directly responsible for her paranormal problems in the form of a Santerian Curse. I tried (again) to explain to her that while a curse cannot be ruled out, there is no evidence of a curse being the cause of her problems.

Sunday 3/4/07
Janice took communion at church today. Before taking, the sexual attacks were occurring even in church. At the moment she began taking communion, the attack ceased for the first time since about February 1st. The relief continued throughout the remainder of service, but resumed on the drive home.

Tuesday 3/6/07
Scott Hattis of ParaHaunt sent an email today. He knows when he is coming, but doesn’t want Janice to know the date. It’s a very reasonable request; what Janice knows, the entity knows as well. And, Scott has had problems in the past with entities trying to head him off at the past before he even gets to the scene.

Janice will not know except at the last minute… or when Scott gives the go ahead. If Janice’s first inkling that help is on the way comes in the form of a knock at the door, then so be it.

Wednesday 3/7/07
Talked to Janice by phone this afternoon. She says that the “demons are like a pack of wild animals tearing at me”. She says the entities are constantly “pinching and poking” on her, and that standing up no longer provides the relief it should. After I got off the phone, I asked myself “how is this possible”? Janice knows nothing, and demons are not supposed to be omnipresent. Do they actually know the contents of my emails?

Thursday 3/8/07
The pinching and poking has subsided today. Even the sexual attacks are considerably lessened. Replacing this is severe nausea caused by something that seems to be inside Janice, “pushing and crawling around” her stomach. She is bedridden today, with a bucket near the bed.

8:00 pm CST – Nausea is better, but replaced with diarrhea. Janice is certain that the entity is to blame, but perhaps it’s just an intestinal bug. I tried to cheer Janice up by telling her she’ll get a book deal out of all this. The joke didn’t work. Maybe it’s not a joke though… I have written a college textbook, and know how to try and get published. Who knows? Of course lawsuits are an evitable by-product of non-fiction work; everyone wants to appear the hero, even the slackers and cowards, and just as importantly they want a cut of the profits… if any. If I do write a book, I do intend that everyone will get his or her due.

Friday 3/9/07
Noticed that tomorrow will make a full month since John Zaffis called and promised to schedule a visit in “a couple of days”, yet as mentioned previously hasn’t returned any phone messages or voicemails. That makes Strike #4 for Janice. I sent Zaffis a final email telling him that he’s no longer needed, which I’m sure was an unnecessary act, but it made me feel better. On second thought, maybe I’m too hard on the guy… could he be sick or injured to the point he can’t email or call? I don’t know, but do know that I’m starting to lose faith in “demonologists” despite all the hype surrounding those who give themselves that lofty title. Everything now rests on Scott Hattis and his Parahaunt… else it’s Strike #5, and where Janice is concerned I believe the ballgame is about over. Looking back at the past year, I realize it was “Demonologist” #1 who did the most damage by stringing Janice along for many months while the problem steadily worsened. All the others were relatively short-term affairs. What is the common thread here? Fear? It’s all I can think of, but why? Fear of bees doesn’t stop beekeepers, otherwise they would all sell insurance instead. So, why would a fear of demons stop a “demonologist”? I don’t know, and doubt that I ever will.

I have every expectation that ParaHaunt will show up. But, I’m afraid to admit it to myself, and even more afraid to think of what will happen if they don’t. These are very bad times. My sister lives by herself in the absolute middle of nowhere, doesn’t have a computer or Internet, and for that matter is completely computer illiterate. All she has is the Yellow Pages, and I doubt if a listing for Demonology is to be found. I found out a while back that she doesn’t even know how to use a hand calculator! Either her family helps her with this, or she’s beyond help. And the way things are going; she may be beyond help anyway since I haven’t been able to accomplish the first thing toward helping her.

4:00 pm CST – Janice’s nausea and diarrhea are gone today, and she was able to drive into town to run some errands. The sexual attacks are still ongoing; with one notable exception… they do not involve penetration today. Instead, a “hand with claws” is masturbating Janice as she sits at the kitchen table.

Friday 3/9/07
The severe nausea is back today, and Janice is lying in bed with a bucket pulled close. This morning at 7:00 am, she was asleep when she heard her oldest daughter “Kathy” screaming “MOM !!” in pain and terror. Instantly awake, Janice sat up and studied the quiet surroundings around her… nothing. Deciding it was just a dream; she lay back down only to hear the frantic call of her daughter again, followed by an inner voice, which clearly said, “This is what’s going to happen to you”.

Monday 3/12/07
Talking to Janice about noon today, after she had just laid down for a nap. The conversation was about how she was doing which naturally included conversation about the entity. While she was talking about that spirit, the usual walking on the mattress became a flurry of activity. Janice felt that the discussion was making it angry.

She hung up, got up and went the rear house deck, and I called her back there. She says there are three distinct walking patterns that she feels on the mattress. One is a "normal" walk, one a light "sneaky" walk, and the other is a maniacal racing run. Since she sleeps on the left of the bed, usually on her right side, the activity is almost behind her on the unused part of the mattress.

Janice also describes another phenomenon. Sometimes she feels as if a "wand" is being passed back and forth over her body... usually not the entire body, but a portion of it, i.e. naval to feet. She says she can feel the energy of the each pass of the "wand". And, on the opposite side of her body away from the energy, her body gets hot. The more the passes, the hotter her opposite side gets. It’s eight more days until Scott Hattis and Parahaunt arrive to help. I asked Scott via email if he and the team are experiencing any pre-emptive paranormal attacks, and to everyone’s relief he says that things in Michigan are business as usual.

Tuesday 3/27/07
Parahaunt’s three members arrived at Janice’s at about 10:00 pm and set to work. I was present, along with Jack, Arlene her boyfriend. After touring the house, the team members reported a strong demonic presence in the bathroom rather than the bedroom as Janice expected. The team set up an infrared camera/recorder, which showed the presence of many “orbs” moving through the absolutely still air of the bathroom. No orbs were detected in the bedroom, even with Janice sitting and lying on the bed, but the equipment captured some orbs as she sat in the Den’s easy chair.

After confirmation of paranormal activity, a suffumigation and deliverance were performed, the latter involving every person in the house. The team left, after saying that Janice would feel very badly for the next few days, and that the house was clean.

Janice informed the team that she was still undergoing the sexual attacks as she spoke, but was assured that the attacks would subside in the next few days. Also, the other paranormal phenomenon being experienced by Janice, especially the walking on the bed by the entity(s), was gone.

Janice went to bed, but had a very bad night of bedwalking in spite of the reassurances that such things were no more.

Wednesday 3/28/07
Janice called Parahaunt on the phone as the team headed back toward Michigan and told them that the phenomena was unabated. The team leader said that a plan needed to be formulated, and promised to call back.

Janice’s daughter Arlene had stayed the night, so after lunch Janice left with Arlene and her boyfriend to stay with them at the other end of the state.

Things are status quo at Janice’s… absolutely no change since the deliverance last month. She is still being attacked at home, and away from home. Both the bedwalking and the sexual attacks have followed her to Hattisburg, MS and Chattanooga, TN.

I have contacted Pastor Donna Varno of the Spirtual Freedom Church for help. Janice is to be at the church at 6:00 pm, Saturday, April 21st. The Pastors promise to do her exorcism in private, after a detailed questionnaire to determine exactly what they believe she is afflicted with. Janice wants me to go with her,so I will.

Just a followup note to the log… nothing at all has changed with Janice. The date with the exorcists of the Spritual Freedom Church hasn’t arrived yet, and the 24/7 sexual attacks are continuing unabated. I’m still trying to get Parahaunt to send copies of the audio/video tapes as promised. They were supposed to have been shipped in late March, but nothing ever arrived. I talked with Scott Hattis via email four days ago asking how he shipped everything. Scott never answered my question but said that “this time” he’d send via USPS priority mail with delivery confirmation, and that he’d email me the number so I can track the shipment. So far I haven’t received a number. There have been several things that I have been unable to get Scott to reply to, and it’s beginning to concern me. I also joined his Yahoo newsgroup, only to have him reject my request to place him on my Yahoo Messenger Buddy List... a request as innocent as a handshake. That did irritate me, so I asked him via email what gave, and he didn’t bother giving me an answer. I’ve had other questions about things he advised Janice to do, but he never responded to those either.

There’s a depressed air about the family. In the past we were spending lots of energy doing things. Since the Parahaunt visit failed completely to rid Janice of the entity, no one really knows what the next step should be, if there is a next step. I was toying with the idea of contacting L.I.F.E. to see if anyone could take Janice’s case, but Janice wants be to hold off until we get the audio/video copies from Scott… she’s afraid that searching for another investigator might anger him to the point he doesn’t send them. Well, I’m beginning to get concerned over whether or not he’ll send them anyway. If we don’t get anything in the mail after two more weeks, I’ll write Parahaunt off and encourage Janice to start the search for help yet again. Personally, I think she needs to be looking now.

Scott said he wanted to come back in May while on vacation. Janice doesn’t seem to be opposed to that unless our relationship with the group declines any further, but it’s agreed that we’re not going to pay any more money to have him come down. The last visit cost us about $625.00 in cash and goods. And, we’re not angry with Scott because the entity is still with Janice… at least DID come, something the other frauds promised to do but never did. We are disappointed that Scott’s efforts came to naught, but we give him every respect due for at least showing up and trying.

Tonight, I drove Janice to the Spiritual Freedom Church located in a small town near Nashville where we attended Saturday services beginning at 6:00pm. During the service Janice suffered a choking attack centered on her neck, and was barely able to stay seated. Janice took communion as she did at the Methodist church, but this time the sexual attacks she continually experiences did not cease temporarily. Afterward, she filled out a lengthy questionnaire about her past, followed by an interview conducted by the husband and wife pastoral team. I was invited to fill out a questionnaire too, which I politely declined (I may be damaged goods too, but I want to first get Janice’s problems out of the way).

Without going into great detail, the session ended at 10:00pm following what I can only describe as an exorcism conducted in the rear of the church with everyone seated at a table. The entity proved to be its usual stubborn self, refusing to leave, and so the procedure continued through the various phases. Janice showed pronounced physical distress during the process, which was accompanied by much prayer and Bible reading. At the end, Janice announced that she was feeling better.

The pastors, Rich and Donna Varno, advised that Janice needs repeated visits. It’s a long drive for her, but if it works, it’s worth it. And so far, it’s the only thing that has had the slightest positive effect. Janice is exhausted tonight… we’ll talk later about how she feels and whether she wants to return.

I was only an observer during the exorcism, which didn’t provoke much emotion in me personally. But, toward the end of the session I noticed an unmistakable smell, and some odd noises coming from somewhere behind me. I didn’t make mention of this to anyone at the exorcism, and although the smell was very familiar, I am unable to describe it. Was it the holy oil the pastor used? If so, the scent came at times when the vial was capped. Neither can I articulate the noises I heard behind me. I clearly heard something, but I almost felt the sound as well. Sometimes the sound was as if Pastor Donna Varno’s words were being digitized and fed back to my ears out-of-phase. If that makes no sense to the reader, please bear in mind that it makes as little sense to me as well. The sound I heard was not an echo in the empty building, and it is a waste of space to even talk about it anymore because I can never describe it.

I was also warned during the exorcism that the entity would want to land anywhere it could once it left Janice, and that I was a target. I was invited to protect myself by dedicating myself then and there to Jesus, something I have no problem with, as I am not a disbeliever, but it’s also something that I felt uncomfortable doing on the spur of a moment and in the present of strangers. The pastors understood, asked if I objected to them praying for me, and when I of course didn’t were kind enough to pray over me.

It’s been almost a week since Janice visited the Spiritual Freedom Church. Unfortunately, she is no better. In retrospect, she isn’t certain that the attacks were ever better; it may have just been her state of mind after the exorcism.

Lately, Janice has been trying to record some EVPs with a tape recorder I gave her. But, the recorder stopped recording almost as soon as she was used. It reminded me that my mini-cassette recorder also stopped recording during the session with Parahaunt. Everything works on the two recorders, except for the REC function… it’s as if the microphones were snipped out of the circuit.

Janice plans on going to Wal-Mart Monday to buy a new recorder. I suggested that she get one of the newer digital recorders, but Janice is technologically challenged… she doesn’t even know how to use a hand calculator. So, she’ll probably get another cassette recorder. I have noticed that Wal-Mart doesn’t even sell blank cassette tapes anymore, so it’s clearly a dying technology.

At this point, no one has any idea of what to do next. June has considered calling Father Calder to see if he is better and able to help her. As for me, I just don’t know what to do next. Janice doesn’t think she’ll go back to the Spiritual Freedom Church. Oddly, she cites the long drive as the reason. I would expect that she’d drive to Mars if it helped her… I know I would.

There would be nothing new to report except that Father Kevin Dowling unexpectedly dropped in to check on Janice today. He said a prayer while there, then left. That was very kind of him, but nothing has changed for Janice.

The entries in this log are getting fewer simply because the attacks on Janice continued unchanged, and no one has any idea about what to do next. Every known option has been tried. Maybe tomorrow a means of deliverance will be discovered, but until then it’s all just business.

Not much new to report. Janice tried a Holy Water douche. Reportedly, such a drastic thing would either alleviate/cure the entity, or cause the oppression to grow much worse. Instead, Janice reports that the Holy Douche had absolutely no effect at all (I don't mean to sound blasphemous, but I can't think of a better name for the procedure).

Thank you for your comments. My initial reaction was that Janice did need the help of a psychiatrist/psychologist. But, the entity has affected several members of the immediate and extended family. If mental illness is to blame, then it has to be accepted that it's possible for more than one psychotic person to experience the exact hallucination simultaneously. I initially thought that Janice should see a mental health expert too, but now I know better.

Regarding TAPS, I have difficulty separating the TV show TAPS from the "real" TAPS. And, I don't even know if TAPS does demons.

The entity is still going strong, but the family has ceased all efforts to seek "demonologists" who are willing to intervene. I really don't want to go into specifics in a public forum, but I will say generally that the family's experiences with such people have been both fruitless and unsatisfactory, and that integrity and sincerity issues are involved. The family is unlikely to even accept further "help" from any person or organization that identifies with demonology.

This of course leaves Janice in her torment, but after a year of hard work in trying to find help, she knows that involving herself in demonology will not show her the path to peace in the first place. Had we done nothing over the past year, Janice would still be precisely in her current position. Well meaning people often suggest that Janice contact "so-and-so" or perform "such-and-such" procedures without realizing that she already has to no avail. :)

That pretty much closes this blog out. I'm not sure how much readership sees this, but I will update it if anything profound occurs.
