Paranormal Conference Newbie

Hey everyone!

I am wanting to go to my first paranormal conference this summer/fall. I am trying to decide between the Mothman Festival or the Ghost World conference at Gettysburg.

Any suggestions?

I am leaning towards the Mothman because it seems a bit smaller and may be a good conference to get my feet wet with. Plus, I have never beento Gettysburg and want to go very badly. I'm afraid if thats my first conference, I will explode with an info overload and not get to properly do all the things in Gettysburg I want to do. (On top of Ghost Hunting, a major interest of mine is American History)

I am looking forward to meeting the Ghostly Talk Crew of course, THe guys from Ghostman and Demon Hunter and everyone else. Especially Rosemary cause I am fan of her encyclopedia volumes.

Mothman and Ghost World

This is the first year for Ghost World as it is 2 conferences merging into one. It has location, location, location being in Gettysburg. Also it will attract tons of ghost hunters from all over the place--for me, that's big because I love to meet and talk with everyone who gets within 20 feet of me! I've heard, though, that Rosemary Ellen Guiley will not be able to attend Ghost World :(

There's a special place in my heart for the Mothman Festival. Not strictly a ghosting event, but everything else is spot on. Jeff and his crew work hard to make the Festival a great time for everyone who either attends on purpose as well as anyone who happens upon Point Pleasant that weekend. It seems like Rosemary Ellen Guiley has a permanent table across from ours...and she just might be bringing her super soaker this year!

Oh heck. Each and every event is so unique that it's really difficult to recommend one over another!

I'm very much looking forward to returning to Mid-South in Kentucky, of course. And the new conference to be held at Moundsville...well, talk about location...it's HAUNTED!

I suggest the Mid South

I suggest the Mid South convention in Louisville Ky. It is one of the best conferences in the nation. Plus the Ghostly Talk crew and Ghostman and Demonhunter will be there.
