Ghost Hunting iN Salem, Mass

By NORtheGreat at March 28, 2007 - 11:39pm | Paranormal Experiences

Every year I make a weekly venture out to Salem, Mass. This is where my interest in ghost hunting comes from as in 2001 I went on a ghost hunting tour and learned some stuff from a lady named Mollie Stewart there.

A few years later Mollie opened a paranormal museum in Salem. Her first year in operation, she was in the basement of this building that was the old phone company.

When digging a foundation for the phone company in the 1970s they stumbled on the remains of the Salem Dungeon Jail where the witchcraft victims were kept awaiting death/trial. Several victims also died in the jail while awaiting trial. So this place is pretty active.

I went to see the museum and asked Mollie if she minded if I did a little ghost hunting. There is a huge empty basement room where they found the jail. I was doing my usual stuff in the dark by myself when I felt this cold draft. I freak out thinking its a presence -- turns out its a dumb waiter.

So as I am sitting there thinking what a moron I am, I feel a tap on my shoulder. Thinking its Mollie telling me to get lost, I turn around -- AND SEE NO ONE!

Now I can't say it was a spirit or not because like a good ghost hunter, I chickened out and took off. But that's my paranormal experience in the spot of the witch dungeon in Salem, Mass.
